…AND THEN HE ATE IT!
I was waiting to cross the street when a car stopped at the crosswalk. A man was alone in his car picking his nose. And not a discreet itch. A full on pick.
And then…well, you already know what happened next.
What you do when you think no one’s watching, really does matter.
We’ve all been there; Singing at the top of our lungs, talking back to the radio or, in this guy’s case, attending to personal needs in the car.
It’s so easy to forget, day in and out, on this side of the laptop, that there are real people out there who do notice what you’re doing – even if they don’t say anything.
Here’s what to do when you’re not sure it really matters:
- Take a moment to think of someone you’ve admired from afar. Really think about how their example has encouraged you.
- Thank them either via email or just take a moment to acknowledge in your mind the difference it’s made for you.
- Get back to work. You never know who’s watching…
Post an example of someone that’s inspired you and let me know when you’ve thanked them. And then – keep plugging away as you quietly inspire others.
